DIY_unif

many of you may have seen the unif skeleton hand tee all over tumblr (see image on the left). i was loving it too, but not the $64 price. so i painted my own for a friend (on an american apparel tank), and myself (on a goodwill tee).

to make it, i freehanded a outline of the design on a large sheet of paper. then i simply cut out all of the bone shapes with an xacto knife. next, i laid the custom stencil over the shirt and traced it with a white colored pencil. finally, i just mixed up a shade of green acrylic paint that i liked and painted two coats onto the shirt. for your projects, i suggest using fabric paint to make the design softer to the touch. i only used acrylic because i couldn't find and fabric paint.
