This was my second time in Paris, but that didn't make this trip any less exciting. I visited Paris for a short 2 days with my mom when we were staying with family in Germany, back in 2006. It was a quick bus tour, so I loved being able to spend 5 days exploring the city on foot. Seeing all of the big-ticket sites like the Eiffel Tower + Arc de Triomphe were just as exciting as the last time, and I also got to check out a lot of places I had learned about in architecture school the past three years. The one thing I was most surprised by was how big Paris is. When you go to the top of the tower or the arc, you can't even fathom the size. It is definitely that you can't seem to get enough of, and I would love to go back very soon!
// View from the top of the Arc de Triomphe of Champs Elysses. This is my favorite trip photo I think!
// Jardin Tuileries
// Inside Galeries Lafayette, an incredible art noveau department store from the days that glamorized the indoor shopping experience
// Eiffel Tower at night. Never gets old!
// Etherial light inside Notre Dame Cathedral
// City at night seen from the top of the Eiffel Tower
// Another view from the top of Arc de Triomphe, which I never knew had a staircase inside!
I hope that you enjoyed all of these photos from France! Also check out yesterday's post from Villa Savoye for more travel snaps! I would also like to work on setting up some travel guides for you guys of my recommendations in all of the cities I have visited. I hope I can find some time for that! Until then, you can email me here with any questions you may have! Hope you are having a great weekend! x. Paige
