Just yesterday I presented my first project of the semester. I plan to share that with you next week, but before I do I wanted to all share some of my process.
Moodboards are something I have seen many graphic designers utilize, and I figured, why can't architects do the same? I've started a new habit of creating a Pinterest board for each design project I begin. It helps me stay focused on the mood I want to convey in my design and renderings. It also helps me to pinpoint the similarities occurring in each photo, which further points me in the direction I want to take.
This assignment challenged us to design a photography museum in the Vesterbro neighborhood of Copenhagen, on an urban infill site. I wanted to convey contrast of lighting, simplicity, and flexibility in my design. Check back next week to see my design!
What helps you get inspired? Tell me below! x. Paige
