Little Linear Dress, the Work Version of an LBD

IMG_4317 This striped dress is the perfect thing to throw on when I'm crunched for time but need to look professional. You may remember that it served me well for an interview and a studio review, and on this day it was great for an early morning at work. The high neck keeps it classy but the cutoff sleeves keep me cool in the AZ heat. I paired with it some black shoes with a little height, and my every day bag. This bag has gold accents on the bottom, so I went another step to go all black and gold by adding a bangle and Casio watch.

I've been working so many days lately that I've missed my cutoffs and band tees. Luckily tonight is my good friend's birthday and I'll get to dress down a bit for a night of bowling to celebrate!

Splish Splash of Color

IMG_3579 This graphic tank is one of my all time favorites, especially in the summertime. I love that the strong graphic is contrasted by more feminine blue and pink colors. Normally I wouldn't go be so match-matchy with my accessories, but I think pops of color are perfect for summertime and decided to have fun complimenting the splashy design in the tee.

Today was super lazy for me. I suppose this is okay for summertime, but I am hoping to kickstart my day tomorrow and get a lot done! For now I am off to spend some time hanging out with friends, because that's what summer is really all about.

OOTD + Blogger Meet Up

IMG_0538resize Yesterday I met up with Alyssa from Sincerely, Truly Scrumptious for lunch and some vintage shopping! We had so much fun finally meeting in person and shopping at this rad store, The Blue Jean Buyer that she introduced me to. We checked out all of the vintage cutoffs and boyfriend jeans, and I bought a statement belt. It was an impulse buy which is really unlike me, but I can't wait to style it! If you want to see it, check out my Instagram.

Another exciting part of yesterday was that my new bag came in the mail! I chose it because it looks similar to the Alexander Wang Rocco bag, and it's going to be my new everyday purse.

"Disorder and Disarray"

IMG_0127 As promised, here is the outfit I wore to style the denim jacket I upcycled in yesterday's DIY! To avoid wearing double denim, I paired it with my leather skater skirt which also gave a nice contrast of textures. In order to not let the look get too feminine, I laced up my Sk8-Hi's and really like how the look turned out.

Today I chose a Rancid song for today's outfit because of the patch on my jacket. Listen along to one of my favorites, "Disorder and Disarray" while you view here!

In case you noticed, yes I did upgrade to a new camera. If you're interested, I chose the Canon Rebel T3i. It's only been a few days, but I would definitely recommend it if you are in the market!
