Cactus Lace

IMG_4373 Since I have started working 8-hour days and coming home in the evening, I have been trying to choose work outfits that are still cute for nighttime wear. Although I might not be able to get away with this look in some offices, I am lucky that mine is somewhat casual. I also think most people in Arizona are reasonable with getting a little more casual in the workplace because it is just so hot. I stayed cool in these detailed pieces, a lace tank and a self-altered thrifted skirt.

Today was a really rewarding day at work for me. Since I started at my new job, I have been juggling a couple of land properties. In the past 2 days, I concentrated on one property in Chandler and created a site plan in order to get some feedback from the city's Planning and Development Department. Today I got to print out large copies of my site plan and go turn it in at their office. It was such a cool feeling to create something on my own that was for a real piece of land, rather than a school project!

Thanks so much for stopping by! What have you been up to this week? x, Paige

"Killers"

DSC_1311 So this outfit prompts me to wonder if I should rename my blog "Countless Ways to Style Iron Maiden muscle tees." I'm joking of course, and I hope you guys aren't sick of seeing these tops. I just got such a great deal on eBay, they're super comfy, and are the perfect amount of bad ass vibes.

I paired it with my Unif Morrison pants, which I can't seem to take off lately. I just love the fit and that ankle slit. I die for the way that detail looks when paired with these red pumps from Target. That's another great thing about this outfit, it's under $60. Killer.

The track for today's outfit is "Killers," the title track for the album pictured on this shirt. Listen along below while you view!

I wore this outfit to dinner with friends my last night in California before spring break, and liked the classy casual look it gave me!

OOTD_91 "Cactus in the valley"

DSC_0917 I've recently found that I'm having trouble making my outfits interesting and have depth as the days get warmer because I'm not able to layer as much as I'd like. The perfect solution to this problem is a vest. The cut of it still leaves you cool, but you've added some dimension to your outfit as well. I have 4 vests in my closet (3 of them DIYed!) that I think will be getting a lot of wear in the coming months.

The track for today's outfit post is "Cactus in the valley" by Lights, whose music I have featured on here before in this outfit post. Listen along here while you view!

DSC_0728 This weekend I've spent hours on hours in studio working towards the mid-review I have on Wednesday, so when taking breaks to meet up with my friends for lunch, I seized the opportunity to change out of my sweats and put on something cute! I was looking for an outfit to style this new satchel I picked up at Target which I eyed forever until I snagged it for 8 bucks! It was the perfect match for this summery dress from an inexpensive store at home. The weather this weekend was so warm and sunny--it put me in the best mood!

I also love how versatile this dress is. Another one of my favorite ways to style it can be seen in this outfit post.
