OOTD_88 "All Your Heart"

DSC_0803 The weather is super warm this Sunday so I'm super happy but was stumped on what to wear. Instead of wearing shorts, I've been having fun pulling out all of my skirts and dresses now that I don't need to wear tights with them anymore. I've styled a lot of these pieces on the blog before but this was the first time styling them together. I think the red belt pulls this whole look together, which is a thrifted piece that hadn't gotten much love lately!

The track for today's outfit is just a song I've been liking from a new playlist I made entitled "All Your Heart" by Transit. Listen along here while you view.

OOTD_87 "Rude Mood"

DSC_0846 I've recently been introduced to Stevie Ray Vaughan by Jake and after listening to him on vinyl together and seeing his style, my desire for a concho style hat increased. So when I found out Forever 21 had this spiked version for sale, I decided I needed to head over there and add this piece to my wardrobe. I love styling this hat with a pair of ankle boots, and this this almost western style shirt that is modernized with the leather detailing. Finally, I added in this floral skirt to girl up the look.

So of course because he is the inspiration, the track for today's outfit is "Rude Mood" by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Listen along here while you view to get the whole vibe!

DIY_Studded Beanie

DSC_0742 It's been a while since I've posted a DIY, but this is a good one! It's simple, inexpensive, fast, and very on trend. I have seen these beanies for sale online for at least $20. Don't be crazy and pay that price when you can make one for under 5 bucks. Mine was $4! You could even stud one that you already own--even better!

DSC_0718

Start with a cheap beanie. Mine is from the men's section at Target, and was $4 as mentioned before. You will also need around 12 studs, give or take a few. Mine were from a thrifted belt. Speaking of which, that belt has supplied all of my past studding projects for the last 5 months. Score.

DSC_0722

Begin attaching the studs to your beanie. I liked the way mine looked with a folded edge. Attach the studs and fold down the prongs using a tweezer. If you need extra help, check out my tips in this past tutorial of mine.

DSC_0723

Continue studding all the way around the edge of your beanie. You can do the spacing however you'd like. This should only take you a few minutes!

And here's the finished product! I loooove how this had added some extra spice to my plain beanie, and adds femininity to something from the men's section.

Thanks so much for checking out this tutorial, I hope you enjoyed it! If you try out this project, I'd love to see the result. Tweet me @PaigePoppe or show it to me on Instagram @punkrockparti and use the hashtag #punkrockparti See you tomorrow!
