OOTD_81: "Going to California"

DSC_0588 i didn't even plan to shoot my outfit today, but i pulled out this gem of a vintage tee from my closet today and realized i hadn't worn it since finding it at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and hadn't shown it on my blog since my haul post--so i had to!

today i mixed colored and textures in my look with my outerwear and accessories. i think this outfit has more of an earthy vibe than i usually wear, but i am liking it. of course even when i change it up, some signature edge has found its way into my outfit. studded combat boots? check!

And yes, I'm already in California, but the track for today's outfit is my favorite Led Zeppelin song "Going to California" which I felt went well with the vibe of this look. Listen along here while you view

OOTD_75: "Disorder and Disarray"

DSC_0661 I think this may have been the first time I've worn these high waisted cheetah print jeans on the blog, and really not sure why because I love how wild they are. I knew I needed to pair them up with my new Litas because the wood tone in the heels went so well with the color of the pants. I balanced the bottom of the outfit out with neutrals, but made sure they were edgy pieces. I think my cross tee, leather jacket, and spiked headband are just that.

The song for today's outfit post is "Disorder and Disarray"by Rancid. Listen along here while you view!

OOTD_72 "Smells Like Teen Spirit"

DSC_0529 Let's get right to the point, as you can tell, I dyed my hair last night! I was planning on going more in the direction of dark brown, but I saw the auburn on the box and decided to go for it. I really like how it looks. Also, I'm not big into the whole permanent dye thing, so I used Clairol Natural Instincts, and can change it in a month or so--or keep it if I like it!

The new hair inspired me to just go all out grunge today from the classic 90's flannel-tied-around-waist look and even a choker necklace. If you want to try a grunge look, take it one step further with a pair of Doc Martens. I would have thrown mine on, but its pretty warm here today (finally!) so I stuck with my favorite combat boots instead.

In pure 90's fashion, the track for today's outfit is "Smells Like Teen Spirit" by Nirvana. Listen along below while you view!

OOTD 69_"Ace of Spades"

DSC_0255 This morning was sunny but chilly, and I was heading out to get my hair trimmed. I decided to go casual with this thrifted Motorhead tee and then dress it up with my accessories. The warm colors in the shirt pointed me in the direction of my gold jewelry, gold studs, and warm-toned cheetah print flats. This outfit was stylish, yet allowed me to stay comfy when I headed to the library later in the day.

Today's outfit track is of course "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead, what else? Listen along below.

Today was a good and productive day. I normally don't enjoy doing homework on Saturdays, but I did today and have decided this quarter that it will help me be less stressed out. I read a good quote today while waiting at the salon that said it's best to tackle your most difficult tasks first thing, because otherwise you will waste your energy worrying about it and not be as productive in the long run. Something to keep in mind! Today was also the first time I handed out one of my new business cards which was exciting!
