Girl On Fire

IMG_4986 A lot of the street style I've been admiring as of late has been from European cities and New York. These styles are, not surprisingly, very focused on neutrals. This influence as well as my transition into office attire has me wearing a lot more neutral outfits than usual. I'm not complaining, but for the summer season I think color is necessary. On this day I pulled out my DIY clutch that adds a statement to my outfit, but still stays professional with its hardware detailing.

After wearing this thrifted maxi skirt once before, I was torn between chopping off the interior lining, or just leaving it be. Well, I spotted my fabric scissors one day and that skirt had a new fate. I am so glad I cut it! I love that the lace detail shows now, adding so much more depth to my outfit.

"Double Vision"

IMG_0808 I really love the ability to pair boots and dresses together in the spring, so I'm capitalizing on the opportunity because it gives me a chance to wear my Docs more often, which is always a good thing. I love that I picked these pieces up at inexpensive places, but they form a really good look. Especially this dress. I've had it for a while and it is from TJ Maxx, but it is probably the most flattering dress I own. I love great finds like that from unexpected places.

The outfit track for today is "Double Vision" by 3OH!3. Mostly because it reminded me of spring vibes (wishing I was still on spring break) and also because I hadn't given that group a listen in a while. Listen along below while you view!

"And Justice For All"

IMG_0729 If you watched the haul video I posted yesterday, you'll recognize this pretty dress from H&M that I picked up in Chicago over the weekend. I couldn't wait to style it so I decided to go for a dressy look at school today and wear it right away. As I mentioned in the video, my friend bought the same dress because we both loved it so much, and since great minds think alike, we coincidentally both wore it today to class! We were the butt of our friends jokes for the day, but it was pretty funny so we didn't mind haha.

Anyway, I styled this to edge up the very girly dress with some camo and my creepers. I chose this cardigan over a camo jacket, because I felt that this camoflauge pattern is a little toned down and set off the dress better than a brighter green pattern would.

The track for today's outfit post is "And Justice for All" by Metallica just because I had been listening to it while editing a video and got it stuck in my head. Listen along below while you view!

I hope you enjoyed this outfit post--especially since it's my first one in about a week! Also, sorry about the low quality of the photos. I was silly today and accidentally had my camera on the wrong setting. Better quality for tomorrow's outfit, promise!

OOTD_98 "The Number of the Beast"

DSC_1249 One of my favorite items in my closet has to be this Iron Maiden muscle tee that I got off of eBay a while back. As always, eBay never lets me down and the seller that sold me the shirt actually messaged me and asked me if I wanted 2 more. Of course I snagged them up (for 5 bucks each) and am styling one today. I paired it will this sheer skull blouse. This is the first time I've worn it unbuttoned over another top but I'm loving it!

The track for today's outfit is "The Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden, of course. Listen along here while you view!
