Desert Vibes

IMG_3197 My skin is getting tanner, my hair is getting lighter, and my mood has lifted about 200%. Summer is here and I am having some southwestern vibes drawing me in. I'm attracted to aztec prints and desert colors lately so when I spotted this top on Asos, I was instantly in love. I wasn't crazy about the price though so I knew I had to DIY it! More on that brand later because I'm obsessed and also because the tutorial for this top is coming in a few days!

I paired my new item with some colored pieces such as this bandeau and ear cuff, and kept it casual with ripped jeans. I spent the day going to lunch and thrifting with my friend Alana. The sad part was that I said goodbye to her, but the good part was that we found such good pieces. I of course filmed a haul for you and can't wait to style the finds!

ART_Dreamcatcher Canvas

IMG_0069 Today I wanted to share a canvas piece I did for a friend a while back, but finally got the chance to photograph this morning. I finally took the plunge and bought a new camera yesterday, so I was able to get some good shots of the painting.

My friend asked for large wall art for his room. We decided on a dream catcher, but he gave me the freedom from there. I wanted warm toned colors that were natural and desert-like. I also ended up including some blue for contrast. He now has it hanging in his room, and it gives it a lot of color and character!
