Golden Geometrics

IMG_1913 Today I almost decided to be lazy and throw on this top with a pair of cutoffs and sandals, but then thought, why not dress up? This top looks way cuter when mixed with a neutral skater skirt anyway! Because of the earthy tones, I added all of my rose gold jewelry to compliment the colors. I finished the look with my lace up sandals. These are my favorite shoes I own, but I've been wearing them less lately to make sure they last longer--I would hate to retire them one day!

I'm off to go study for a midterm and work on some floor plans at my favorite coffee shop (which happens to serve my favorite veggie sandwich as well, yum!) Nothing like a good environment to get your through some hard work!

"She Doesn't Get It"

IMG_1432 As I mentioned in this post, I'm finding myself drawn to the bohemian look lately with the warm sun and spring blooms everywhere around me. Without compromising my personal style, today I mixed the boho with the edge. What is a mainly edgy outfit was changed up a bit with my aztec print cardigan that I got from a local surf shop my freshman year. I love spicing up something that I haven't worn forever in a new way!

The track for today's outfit is "She Doesn't Get It" by my all-time favorite band, The Format. They have provided my favorite tunes ever since I was introduced to them in middle school because they were local. Now broken up, but you can still listen to front-man Nate Ruess as the lead singer of Fun. Listen along below while you view!

I never get over how pretty my town is. I took these photos is a standard office parking lot a block over from my house, and yet this is the view next to it. You can see hills like this in any direction you look, and it never gets old!

OOTD_97 Final Review

DSC_1172 Today was my final review for studio. I can't believe how fast this quarter has gone, but I think it's because I really enjoyed what I was learning and working on all quarter. I'm going to share more about my project this week, but for now, this is the outfit I wore!

I am really liking how this rose gold necklace adds something extra to an all black outfit. I pulled out my leather moto jacket, but layered a linen moto underneath so I would still have the look even if I got warm and took off my jacket. A little double layering action!

OOTD_81: "Going to California"

DSC_0588 i didn't even plan to shoot my outfit today, but i pulled out this gem of a vintage tee from my closet today and realized i hadn't worn it since finding it at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and hadn't shown it on my blog since my haul post--so i had to!

today i mixed colored and textures in my look with my outerwear and accessories. i think this outfit has more of an earthy vibe than i usually wear, but i am liking it. of course even when i change it up, some signature edge has found its way into my outfit. studded combat boots? check!

And yes, I'm already in California, but the track for today's outfit is my favorite Led Zeppelin song "Going to California" which I felt went well with the vibe of this look. Listen along here while you view
