ART_Skull Coffin Deck

IMG_1075 I finally have finished my baby! I call it that because I have put so much time and thought into this board. This is the first (and only) deck I have made by hand; I learned in a skate deck shaping class at my school last year, and this was the result! It then took me a while, but many sketches later I came up with a design. I talk about the design process a bit in the video below, that also gives you some good shots of the art and details. Please check it out, it's a more personal discussion about the art, which I am excited to continue doing in the future!

OOTD_100 "Restart"

DSC_1246 Since today is my 100th outfit post (eek!) I wanted to be sure to wear some special pieces. I am completely obsessed with these leather UNIF pants, and even more obsessed with the price. I picked them up a month ago on eBay for $17. Basically unheard of considering their normal retail price. Today I am rocking them with this awesome muscle tee and am accessorizing with black, what else?

Because today is a special post, I was sure to feature one of my favorite bands, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! Today's outfit track is their newly released song "Restart" that came out yesterday. Listen to it here while you view!

Now that I've hit the big 100, I think from here on out I will stick to outfit titles with just song names for a cleaner look without numbers. A little "restart" if you will ;)

OOTD_52

DSC_1022 I'm finally back with a new outfit post, and even better, I am home in Arizona (I took the above photo in my backyard)! I'm loving how this outfit came together. I sometimes find it hard to style this denim vest because of the short crop, but pairing it with this long tunic was the perfect solution. After figuring out the silhouette, I wanted to add some polish so I accessorized with my sparkly Toms and some shiny details with my statement ring and the detailing on my clutch. These outfit can also be easily transformed for cooler weather by throwing a neutral colored hoodie under the vest!

On top of loving this outfit, I'm also proud about how inexpensive all of the pieces are! I encourage you to go thrifting and also to hold back on purchases sometimes until you can find a killer sale. Sometimes you'll get really lucky like I did with these Toms--they would normally retail for $54 dollars, but I found this pair at my local consignment store and paid for them with the credit I received from donating my old clothes!

Thanks for reading, and happy shopping!
