Gold Accessories, Gold Facade

IMG_7830 So I wandered over to the Figure 8 building again tonight...I can't help it that I'm obsessed. Any of my architecture friends will tell you that I am a huge Bjarke Ingels Group fan and will defend their projects if anyone disagrees. And hey, if you live across from something by your favorite firm, I think taking any chance to soak it in is a good thing!

But anyways, about the outfit. I am having a major crush on this necklace I picked up in the city lately. A chunky gold chain necklace is a staple piece in a lot of European girls' wardrobes I've noticed, but I like that this one is a little bit different with the two layers and added spikes. I've been pairing it with a lot of plain tops lately, but finally wearing it with my favorite band tee today felt so right.

Tomorrow I have a big group presentation in studio to finish off the week, but am not really sure what to wear. No matter what I decide, I know it won't be too many layers. The weather here has been unbelievable. I know I talk about weather on this blog a lot...because, well, that sort of dictates what I wear everyday, but seriously it's so sunny and warm and beautiful here. Copenhagen, please stay like this forever. Let's just forget about that thing called winter and enjoy our tank tops and suntans. Please?

Underground Runway

IMG_7526 Well, it's finally starting to get cold here in København, so it was time to bring out the disco pants today! I have enjoyed the warm weather here so much, but I honestly didn't expect it to be so hot here so the wardrobe I packed was a little unsuited for this first month. Now that I can utilize my heavier pieces, I'm getting more excited about having more outfit options. Cold weather, however, also means a lot of rain. The rain ended up forcing us into the underground metro to take these photos and as I was sitting here editing I had the coolest thought. What if there was a runway fashion show in a city's metro station, under the city. I think that would be such a cool setting! Just an idea...

Today was my first studio presentation of the year so I chose this collared shirt this morning before heading out to add some professionalism. I think you can get away with something as grungy as Doc Martens as long as you maintain a certain level of polish with the rest of the look. After class my friends and I popped into H&M (which we do far too often...) and I picked up this statement necklace and wore it out of the store. I felt like my outfit called for just one more detail!

What do you wear when you have a big presentation? x. Paige

If Work Permits

IMG_4226 This lace tee is coming through for me again, making all of my summer dresses work appropriate. I first tried it out by layering and knotting the tee over a floral dress for a summer look, but I like it over this striped dress even more. (Which is pretty impressive because I really liked that first combo!) I then added my all-black essentials, grabbed my laptop and drawing tube, and was out the door!

I wanted to share a small preview of some of the things I have been doing during my work day. Assisting an architect with floorplans and planning out a subdivision are what's in store right now. I love that when I go to work I have some things I am consistently working on, but also new information and projects pop up every day!

OOTD_93 + Closet Tour Video!

DSC_1013 I'm not sure what it is with me and tropical prints lately...maybe because I'm anxiously awaiting spring break? Whatever it is, I'm looking like a fashionable tourist today and I love it. You may remember these leggings from my spring haul video and I was excited about the cold weather (for once) so that I could pull these out. It was hard for me to decide what to pair them with, but I finally decided that a plain button down with a statement necklace was the perfect choice.
