OOTD_97 Final Review

DSC_1172 Today was my final review for studio. I can't believe how fast this quarter has gone, but I think it's because I really enjoyed what I was learning and working on all quarter. I'm going to share more about my project this week, but for now, this is the outfit I wore!

I am really liking how this rose gold necklace adds something extra to an all black outfit. I pulled out my leather moto jacket, but layered a linen moto underneath so I would still have the look even if I got warm and took off my jacket. A little double layering action!

OOTD_86: Studio Review

DSC_0762 Today was my mid-review for studio, so I always like to wear a dress or skirt, and wear something that is professional but still exciting. This dress is a go to in my closet because it's a neutral but it still bold and graphic. The cut of it really suits being paired with an oversized blazer like this one. You may remember this outfit a while back as well where I styled this dress for a school day. Finally, it's great to add a decisive pop of color to your outfit when making a presentation, so I finished off my look with this bright statement necklace I made a while back. This was a piece of a small "collection" my friend Ariana and I worked on a while back, which I plan to share more on later. This quarter we have been experimenting with other students and our professor with digitally fabricated jewelry which is really exciting!

Don't forget you can always quickly change up your look with your hair! I tried a middle part today because I feel like my hair is finally long enough, and I really liked how it streamlined my look.

DSC_0551 Today I wanted to show how I transitioned the same dress from day to night, but when both looks are very casual and involve a lot of basics. The first outfit is what I wore to walk downtown to my favorite coffee shop and study, and the second shows how I added some extra layers for going to studio later in the night.

Although I wore a lot of red in my past two outfit posts, I am finding that I am more drawn to wearing neutrals now that my hair is a bolder color. I really like how the color looks against denim and black. I'll have to experiment with neutrals more in the next few weeks!

Since it was dark while I wanted to shoot this, I ended up in my room. However, I don't mind this because I like showing aspects of my space and one of the latest painting I've been working on!

PRESS_Urban Outfitters Website Feature

Today a friend of mine was shopping online and spotted something exciting on the front page of the Urban Outfitters website, a photo of me! Urban Outfitters has told their fans to use the hashtag #UOonyou whenever you Instagram a photo wearing their clothing. Since I wear Urban on a very regular basis, I'm using this hashtag a lot! I was so so so beyond excited to see my photo on the page today. Although it is small, I thought it was cool because Urban is a company that I love and would like to work for again one day creatively. The photo is from this outfit of the day I recently posted on my blog, and the UO piece I was wearing is my favorite BDG brand beanie. Here's a screenshot of the page (click to see it larger), and if you go to urbanoutfitters.com now and scroll down to the bottom you'll see it because it's still up! Thanks for reading!
