White Hot Technicolor

IMG_5490 I'm all for basics, but summer needs some color! I'm wearing white pieces to stay true to my personal style, and threw on a bright skirt for a fresh look. Finally, the studs on both the shoes and the bag are keeping it tough. I can feel my style evolving in a more minimal direction, but I think I'll always be that little 90's girl obsessed with Lisa Frank and rainbows.

Notice the paint marks on my hands? I'm working on a bunch of skateboards right now, and just finished one up tonight. I can't wait to share it with you! In my book, messy hands, are happy hands. Thanks for reading! x. Paige

Soleri Sunset

IMG_5199 Another day, another dollar, another outfit. I've been wanting to wear this dress to work many times recently, but hesitated because the back has a large cutout. Today I threw on this oversized lace cardigan that I am obsessed with and was set! I thought that the two flowy pieces wouldn't work together, but the slight structure of lace material actually gives it some shape. As a bonus, it keeps me warm in my cold office! I finished off the look with a statement necklace, and then some sandals to keep look a little more summery and less serious.

I was out shopping today with my mom and we stopped on this great bridge over the canal in Scottsdale. The large silver structure you can see in the background is a bridge by Paolo Soleri. I used to think the design was an eyesore, but now it is growing on me. Soleri was a fascinating architect that recently passed away, and now I appreciate having a piece of his work so close to my home!

Girl On Fire

IMG_4986 A lot of the street style I've been admiring as of late has been from European cities and New York. These styles are, not surprisingly, very focused on neutrals. This influence as well as my transition into office attire has me wearing a lot more neutral outfits than usual. I'm not complaining, but for the summer season I think color is necessary. On this day I pulled out my DIY clutch that adds a statement to my outfit, but still stays professional with its hardware detailing.

After wearing this thrifted maxi skirt once before, I was torn between chopping off the interior lining, or just leaving it be. Well, I spotted my fabric scissors one day and that skirt had a new fate. I am so glad I cut it! I love that the lace detail shows now, adding so much more depth to my outfit.

Sunday Morning Rain is Falling...

IMG_4828 Monsoon season is in full force over here in AZ. However, just because it's rainy, doesn't mean it gets cold. On Sunday I sported my favorite beanie and Docs to gear up against the rain, but still showed some skin and kept cool with cutoffs and a tank. I've noticed that I've been wearing a lot of neutrals recently, so I decided to add some neon to spice up this look. I love how it was a surprise pop, and reminds me to throw some more color into my outfits.

On this day, Jake and I puddle jumped over to Goodwill to search for some vintage goodies. I scored this camera for $6, and after loading it up with film, it was set to go! I'm excited to put it to use this summer because film causes you to photograph in a different way because you're more limited. As for digital photography, keep up with me on Instagram for snaps like this one!
