ART_Skull Coffin Deck

IMG_1075 I finally have finished my baby! I call it that because I have put so much time and thought into this board. This is the first (and only) deck I have made by hand; I learned in a skate deck shaping class at my school last year, and this was the result! It then took me a while, but many sketches later I came up with a design. I talk about the design process a bit in the video below, that also gives you some good shots of the art and details. Please check it out, it's a more personal discussion about the art, which I am excited to continue doing in the future!

I'm back from my roadtrip to LA--I had such a blast! I met up with 4 of my best friends from home to enjoy the holiday weekend together.

On our first day, we hit up Amoeba Records. It's become one of our go-to places in Hollywood, and one of my favorite record stores because the prices are actually reasonable and the selection is amazing.

I love this photo of Jake and I! I'm wearing my DIY Unif-inspired tee (see my tutorial here ), a camel colored skater skirt from Forever 21, Steve Madden studded combat boots, a cheetah print bag from Cotton On, and my favorite Forever 21 sunnies.

I always come home with awesome finds--I can't wait to add these patches to my favorite vests!

We also had to walk over to Kat Von D's High Voltage Tattoo, because for as many times as I have been to LA, I had never seen it in person! Here's Jamie and I cheesin it outside in front of the huge mural.

I threw on this cross knit sweater from Forever 21 when it got cold.

Later in the day we headed to another one of our favorite spots, the Santa Monica pier and then shopped at night! I love shopping in Santa Monica because the outdoor mall is really fun. I picked up two cute rings from Brandy Melville while I was there.

thanks so much for reading--I'll hopefully be doing another post/haul soon about my trip to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl Flea Market with my friends BP and Courtney. For now, I'm totally swamped working on my studio project as we get close to the end of the quarter, but expect it in the future! xo, Paige

ART_Collage Skateboard

This is the latest commissioned piece I did through my Etsy site for a client. This board was for her boyfriend's birthday, so it was a collage of all of his favorite things and quotes, and also their anniversary date. I enjoy doing pieces like this because it is a challenge to create a nice composition that balances all of the very different elements.

Thanks for checking out my work--if you're interested in learning more, check out my other Art or head over to my Etsy store!
