Motorhead in Moorhead

IMG_3760 My cousin's wedding is tonight and I will be wearing a maxi dress by Reformation, but today we prepped the reception hall. I wore cutoffs and a tee to stay comfy while I made flower arrangements and decorated with my family. I chose this vintage Motorhead tee because I felt that the warm tones in the graphic went well with the aztec embellishment on these shorts.

Although my cousin lives in North Dakota, Minnesota is right on the border so technically we are staying in Moorhead, Minnesota. A little Motorhead in Moorhead if you will? Anyways I'm off to get ready because the ceremony starts at 4! I will have a post up tomorrow on what I wore and hopefully a few photos from the wedding. Thanks for reading! x, Paige

OOTD_91 "Cactus in the valley"

DSC_0917 I've recently found that I'm having trouble making my outfits interesting and have depth as the days get warmer because I'm not able to layer as much as I'd like. The perfect solution to this problem is a vest. The cut of it still leaves you cool, but you've added some dimension to your outfit as well. I have 4 vests in my closet (3 of them DIYed!) that I think will be getting a lot of wear in the coming months.

The track for today's outfit post is "Cactus in the valley" by Lights, whose music I have featured on here before in this outfit post. Listen along here while you view!

OOTD_88 "All Your Heart"

DSC_0803 The weather is super warm this Sunday so I'm super happy but was stumped on what to wear. Instead of wearing shorts, I've been having fun pulling out all of my skirts and dresses now that I don't need to wear tights with them anymore. I've styled a lot of these pieces on the blog before but this was the first time styling them together. I think the red belt pulls this whole look together, which is a thrifted piece that hadn't gotten much love lately!

The track for today's outfit is just a song I've been liking from a new playlist I made entitled "All Your Heart" by Transit. Listen along here while you view.

OOTD_78: "Look What Happened"

DSC_0804 I recently made a purchase from the online store By Samii Ryan, and this amazing head chain came free with my order! I love the piece but I was hesitant to style it because it is not my typical look. However, I realized that I should get inspired and decided to pair it with my favorite aztec flannel from UO. I incorporated some edgy elements to keep it touch with my personal style by layering over my embroidered skull shirt and throwing on my studded combat boots. I ended up loving this outfit and the head chain and think it would be great for a road trip or day of exploring outdoors.

The track for today's outfit is "Look What Happened" by Less Than Jake. Like this outfit, this song is still my style, but a little different than the usual. Listen along below while you view!
