DSC_1022 I'm finally back with a new outfit post, and even better, I am home in Arizona (I took the above photo in my backyard)! I'm loving how this outfit came together. I sometimes find it hard to style this denim vest because of the short crop, but pairing it with this long tunic was the perfect solution. After figuring out the silhouette, I wanted to add some polish so I accessorized with my sparkly Toms and some shiny details with my statement ring and the detailing on my clutch. These outfit can also be easily transformed for cooler weather by throwing a neutral colored hoodie under the vest!

On top of loving this outfit, I'm also proud about how inexpensive all of the pieces are! I encourage you to go thrifting and also to hold back on purchases sometimes until you can find a killer sale. Sometimes you'll get really lucky like I did with these Toms--they would normally retail for $54 dollars, but I found this pair at my local consignment store and paid for them with the credit I received from donating my old clothes!

Thanks for reading, and happy shopping!

This is what I wore to class yesterday and to dinner with my parents because they're in town! You might remember seeing this skirt in my first day of school outfit post (here) where I wore it a little more casually in the warmer weather. For this look I wore it with this sheer panel long sleeved tee that I found at TJ Maxx and some edgy gunmetal jewelry to add my style to the look.

for evening, i added this oversized black blazer for warmth and polish, and paired it will my glossy envelope clutch from Target. hope you're all having a great weekend!

today was the first rainy day ive had since being back in California!

i decided to wear this rose printed thermal since i hadn't got a chance to wear it yet...im pretty jazzed about it cuz its from Urban Outfitters but found it for so cheap at Marshall's.

the rain kinda worked in my favor by bringing out the natural curls in my hair...score

and now, i'm off to the farmer's market. xo, thanks for reading!

DIY_Studded Planner

another little DIY with what else? studs.

i wanted to do a project with studs on something other than clothing, and i thought my new planner for school would be rad because of the black leather. this literally took me 5 to 10 minutes to make while i ate lunch today.

check out my past tutorial here for the most secure way to attach studs to fabric or leather, and enjoy your new school style!

all you'll need is a planner (leather or fabric will get the best results), pliers, and studs. i opted for some smaller studs for this smaller scale project, and i pulled them off of a belt that I thrifted at the Goodwill for a dollar.

can't wait to use this baby for my first day back on Tuesday!
