I keep small canvases around for moments when I get a bit bored, so that I can just pull them out and create something, but don't have to put too much thought or stress into it. I just started going with this one, and ended up drawing some 90's poppy fun art complete with trolls, yin yangs, and more. I really like the color scheme of this one, and am thinking about doing something like this to entire skateboard deck! yay? nay? Let me know!
As promised, here is how I styled the statement belt that I mentioned in yesterday's post from my trip to a new vintage store in town! To compliment it's americana feel, I paired it with a classic white blouse and jean shorts. I love the natural vibe of this outfit, and how my gold and turquoise accessories finish it off.
I wore this outfit to Zia Records and dinner with my friends last night. At the store I picked up The Steve Miller Band's greatest hits album for a few bucks. Listening to it today, I realized "Fly Like and Eagle" was the perfect track for today's outfit to compliment my eagle belt. Listen along to the song below while you view!

i didn't even plan to shoot my outfit today, but i pulled out this gem of a vintage tee from my closet today and realized i hadn't worn it since finding it at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, and hadn't shown it on my blog since my haul post--so i had to!
today i mixed colored and textures in my look with my outerwear and accessories. i think this outfit has more of an earthy vibe than i usually wear, but i am liking it. of course even when i change it up, some signature edge has found its way into my outfit. studded combat boots? check!
And yes, I'm already in California, but the track for today's outfit is my favorite Led Zeppelin song "Going to California" which I felt went well with the vibe of this look. Listen along here while you view

i recently put my christmas money to use, and decided to style all 3 of my purchases into one outfit! i was in a black and white mood and picked up this colorblocked moto jacket (for 25 bucks!) from the Nasty Gal sale, and paired it with my new Vans Sk8 Hi's. i'd been eyeing these shoes for a few months and knew they'd be a great addition to my Vans collection. i almost opted for the platform version, but decided to get a pair that i could also skate in. i love how they add a classic skate style to my looks and are a little more dramatic than ones i've purchased in the past
with an all black and white look, i love the pop of color that my new ear cuff adds to my look. i am crushing hard on everything that is sold on By Samii Ryan and love the element of interest mine adds to my look!
the styling for this outfit kinda reminds me of Jenna McDougall of Tonight Alive. therefore, the track for today's outfit is "Breaking & Entering" by the band. if you don't know about them, listen below!
