Travel Style

Over the weekend I flew back to Phoenix from DC, and while comfort is key while traveling, I still like to express my style. A couple of my essentials for in-flight wear are a oversized tank, and a shoe that can easily be slipped on and off through security. Another new fav? A hat that hides my too-tired-to-style-it hair, and I’m off to the airport.

While I didn’t snap any outfit photos in DC, [humidity is not a good look] I did share some fun moments from the trip on my Instagram: @punkrockparti. See you tomorrow babes!

Heavy Metal Heels

On Saturday some friends and I journeyed up north to check out the highly recommended Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Since I knew we'd be taking the train out there, I figured it was a good excuse to throw on some heels with an otherwise casual outfit. I layered an oxblood cardigan for warmth, but I love that it ended up matching my wedges, which were an awesome flea market steal.

As for the museum, it outweighed my expectations. The building itself was nestled in the landscape, constructed of wood, and has amazing views of the coastline. Wandering around the sculpture garden and looking out at the ocean was a highlight. As for the art, any chance to see Andy Warhol's works is exciting for me, and I also loved the piece pictured above. It was a temporary piece constructed by Henning Larsen Architects made of elastic, zip ties, and paper. The room was surrounded by mirrors, and was quite an ethereal place!

What did you explore this weekend? x, Paige
