Transition Outfit

You guys have seen me style this vest in a simple way in a past blog post, but I had to try and be a little more daring the next time I wore it. I threw it on over my favorite basic striped tee for a little more interest. I like how my Docs compliment the utilitarian details in the vest too, but I kept it fun with some shiny + patterned accessories. Overall I loved this look for a day in the city. I think I will push it a little bit further for summer and pair it with a white lace dress or maybe something in pale pink? I'm so excited to play around with the pieces I have left back in my closet in the states, so we will see what kind of looks I come up with then!

My mom, aunts, and cousin have been visiting me this week, and they have been staying in the greatest AirBnb apartment, which is where we shot this look. It is so brightly daylit and is in one of the best locations in Copenhagen of all time! It has been so much fun showing them around the city, and I never get sick of the "touristy" stuff. We've even found some new areas I've never been to which has been great! Now I'm off to finish up a big assignment for my Danish Design class! x, Paige

Utilitarian Upgrade

When my mom gifted me a few vests for Christmas, I was a bit stuck on how to style them, especially this long linen number. I immediately thought all black would be a good choice, but didn't want the outfit to end up looking too basic. Enter my favorite vintage velvet dress. If you would have told me a few months ago that I would wear this baby to school I would have thought you were crazy. However, in Copenhagen body con skirts are the norm because the style is a bit dressier here. So I tried it out and I think it worked pretty well! The vest is long enough to cover most of the dress, and the utilitarian details contrast the softer velvet texture.

I've become such a neutrals girl lately, so I'm really happy I snagged these glasses a few weeks ago. Without the pop of color they add, I think this outfit could have been quite boring. You guys are probably sick of seeing them at this point because I've been wearing them so much. Maybe a little? I'm on the hunt for another mirrored pair, but maybe in a pink/orange tint, just so I can mix it up a little! What's your favorite piece in your wardrobe right now? x, Paige.
